What about those waxy colored sticks? Are they also use in art?

Certainly, though he'll definitely have no trouble with the greens.

...It's a small project for the village. A way to rebuild friendships with those who have left and returned without their memories.

Exactly. I think in the main room would be best, so people can see it when they first enter.

Perhaps with a panel nearby, for those who'd prefer privacy while they write?

Some might, but they can always right something anonymous, I suppose. It defeats the purpose of getting in touch right away, but it's their choice.

So would I. In a place like this, you need all the friends you can get. Still, there's no forcing people. At least your idea will allow some bonds to be kept or rekindled.

At the very least, it might spark some interesting discussions. Even then, no one would be forced to become friends again.

Did Archie say when he wanted to do this ceremony? I wasn't sure if he'd decided on a date.

He mentioned no date to me. Could he be waiting for the next wave of New Feathers?

Possibly, that might be a hectic time for that. After the flood subsides would be better, but it's completely up to him. I'm just glad someone's taking the initiative.

Has there ever been such a ceremony before? Since some people have been here for years...

Something to... remind people of their time spent here? A listing of memories?

I...there might have been one before, but if I'm right, it was a very long time ago. Certainly enough time has passed to make it welcome again.

Letters, addressed to those who have departed, in hopes that they will return and wish to rebuild those friendships anew.

Remembering those who have left is important. Our memories are the only proof of their pasage here.

[She nods, her expression softening.]

You're right. Sometimes it's hard, not having anything else left behind when they go, but that's all the more reason to hold tight to those memories.

Yet when we leave, those memories disappear with us. Who knows how many people have been completely forgotten?

[Rydia frowns, looking sharply away.]

I don't believe those memories are completely gone. I won't. They might be buried, but there's always a chance to bring them out again.
