[Luceti, Cecil has a question for you.]

Which would be easier to prepare: a roast, a stew or a meat pie?

[...Along with one that is slightly less horrifying.]

Also, after a mission, would you rather take the immediate rewards or the points we can trade? Those patches that can hide us from the droids look useful, but that '80%' of theirs is far from reassuring.
lostinmyway: (Well....)

Hmm.... I think a stew would be easier.

[She's guessing from having watched Stella make supper, anyway. Grune doesn't do a lot of non-sweets cooking.]

I don't know if it's easier, exactly, but I'm in the mood for a good stew.

A roast would be easiest, right? I mean, all you gotta do is season and cook the thing, right? How hard can that be?

Stew.
paladinlost: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-18 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yet it would turn badly if it was over- or undercooked, would it not?
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-18 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
In that case, I can try my hand at it.
paladinlost: (err)

Icould adjust the seasoning by taste, but I've little experience with the oven. I'm not certain which temperature would cook it properly without leaving it dry.
paladinlost: (curious)

Is there anything to watch for, other than the time it spends on the oven?

If you want some help or just company, I'd be happy to join you.

I'd appreciate it. What sort of meat should we use?
lostinmyway: (Well....)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-11-18 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
I think so. But I think that would happen with a roast or a meat pie, too.

[Voice]

[personal profile] mistlegacy 2011-11-18 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Hm...I'll leave that up to you. Just about anything is fine, really.

I'll be there shortly, okay?

I suppose I'll simply have to test it every so often, then.

I'll be waiting in the kitchen, then.

[...With samples of every meat and vegetable there is in the shop, even.]

[Warping into a corner of the living room and then walking into the kitchen, so she doesn't poof and get in his way.]

And here I am!

Well, that really depends on the size of whatever it is you're trying to cook. [Guess who's been doing the cooking in light of Stella's return? She's not a pro, but she knows a few things.] If you need help with the oven, I could blow on through and give you a hand, CC! Just think of it as a favor repaid.

...What are you trying to cook, though?

[He beams at her, though the knife in his hand stops any possible hug.]

Perfect. I need a second opinion concerning the relative size of my chopped carrots.

[Suprisingly, there are no great disrepancies between the pieces, but they're far from even.]

It appears the household is voting for the stew at the moment, but I doubt the roast I brought back will be wasted. I'd still welcome any advice for the oven, though.
lostinmyway: (It's always a sunny day.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-11-18 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good idea. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Likely a stew would be easiest.

[ and there's mention of those missions. ]

Have you been sent on one of their missions?

I'm not a cook.
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-11-18 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Besides, if I asked someone else to do it, there might not be enough left for supper.

I see. Still, your answers seems to match the general opinion.

As long as I remember to taste it often, perhaps...

Not yet, but it is rather tempting. The stores have not yet brought some of the supplies I'm used to, and those patches could also be quite helpful.

[She glances over to them and nods.]

They'll do. Taste matters more than them being entirely even. Where do you want me to start?
