2nd moon [voice]
No good, they don't have... How does this even work? I'll stay away from it for now...
[Rummaging noises come from the journal, numerous but careful. It sounds like someone is exploring the item shop.]
I apologize for bothering everyone, but could anyone recommend objects that are helpful to a household? Specifically, objects that are necessary for a new arrival or that can keep the house organized and clean. I'm not familiar with most of the products I find here, and I'd rather not bring anything that is useless or dangerous home. I'd be most thankful for your help.
[He falls quiet, and for a few moments only the sounds of items being moved can be heard. It appears his message is over, but-]
Also, Ceodore. What blade are you currently using?
[With that, his post is truly over.]
[voice/actionish]
Both? And more cookies. I think we're out.
[Cookies = Ceodore's favorite food ever. There are never enough. As it is, he's already making his way to the house. Must check on the junkfood supply, after all.]
[voice/action]
[Which means that Ceodore might cross the path of a small table, a bunch of rags, a mop, a bucket, a box of lightbulbs, two laundry hampers, a small trash can, a set of bed linens and a pile of assorted food. Rumors of a man bearing them all are unconfirmed.]
[action]
Whoa whoa! Get out of there!
[Time to make a mad dash for the little black bird before he's the happy recipient of that food stash.]
[action]
[...The good news is, Cecil managed to snatch the food away before it could end up in Kelmis' beak. The bad news is, everything else is now falling. Hope Ceodore is good at dodging!]
[action]
Ow...
[And yet Kelmis is warking away, pretty oblivious to the trouble he's caused.]
Sorry about that. You okay?
[action]
...Nothing is broken, no one is broken, and the food is safe. Let's count that as a victory.
[But Kelmis still gets lightly thwacked with the dust rags.]
Bad chocobo. Human food is not healthy for you.
[action]
Meanwhile, Ceodore's at least got the good grace to start picking things up.]
I need to build him a pen. He's getting too big to stay in the house.
[Not to mention way too much trouble.]
[action]
Cecil joins him after setting the food on the table.]
A wooden pen, or one made of stone? Golbez said that materials are available, but I wouldn't know where to look.
[action]
I think wooden. Easier to build taller, more likely to keep him in. Unless he squirms through the rails.

[Happens a lot around here. People come and go.]
[action]
[He sounds saddened by this.]
[action]
[He'd say you get used to it, but honestly... you don't. Sigh.]
It's been harder for Selphie. She's really sociable and some of her really close friends have been sent home.
[action]
[action]
["... what if one of us is the next to go." He can't begin to imagine living without her now and he wouldn't want to. Smitten princeling is smitten.]
[action]
...If you worry too much, you won't enjoy the time you spend together to its fullest.
[action]
[Ceodore looks away and falls silent, trying to decide if he really feels like he should admit to what's been on his mind for a while. Before he can stew on it too much, he just blurts it out, although he just can't bring himself to look at his father in the process.]
I want to take her home with me.
[That might be a sideways admission of how he feels about Selphie.]
[action]
Have you asked her about it? Remember, she does have a life, friends and family in her world. She might not be willing to give that up, even if it is for your sake. You'd be asking her to follow you to a world she does not know, possibly with no way to see her home again.
[action]
[Because he's afraid of the answer. Afraid of exactly what Cecil brought up, that she may not be willing to give up her friends and her home.]
There was an experiment last month and...
[He's turning red. Very very red. For good reason.]
I asked her to marry me. She's not ready. I'm not either. But I can't take it back. And I won't use the experiment as an excuse.
[action]
Even an engagement is a serious commitment, Ceodore. You are certainly not ready to marry, and that you know so proves that you can be trusted with such a decision. However, there is always the possibility that you will not be able to bring her home, and there is also the possibility that she will refuse even if you can. What will you do, if that happens?
[Choose your answer carefully, because it is very important.]
[action]
I don't know...
[The very thought is too depressing to dwell on enough to come up with any sort of reasonable decision.]
