Never. We were certainly not expecting to find anything that powerful when we looked.

Not personally, but through agents and manipulation.

How did he contact these agents?

Telepathy, perhaps, or some sort of hidden communication device. They never seemed to contact everyone, yet they always knew how far their plan had advanced.

Hmmm... I see... so you and a group of other people are going against this being? Why you guys though?

Because we were the only ones who could, when it comes down to it.

We were the only ones who knew what was happening, and we had the only ship that could reach the moon.

But how did you know about it? ... a flying ship?

Most of us were directly attacked, thus we quickly realized something was wrong.

Airships are common in my world, but only one of them can leave the planet. Everything else was grounded.

They are? That's amazing! But... there is no air up in space...

That particular ship is fully closed, luckily. But the moon itself had an atmosphere, surprisingly.

Not only did it have air, but it was particularly pure and clean, somehow.

The red moon was mostly gray stone and caves, except for the Crystal Palace. The true moon was filled with strange tunnels, with plants from other worlds sparsely growing on some of the levels. As for the planet... it looked like a drop of sea water, floating in space. It was beautiful.

There's a palace and even plants up there? I wish I could have seen all that!

It was quite worth the journey. Had there not been a world to save, I would have tried to visit every single inch of it.
