My, it appears quite a few people are feeling unwell these days.
[Not that Cecil himself sounds remotely unwell. In fact, he seems to be surprisingly cheerful today.]
I'm afraid I cannot help everyone with that. However, a small dinner for the whole family should definitely cheer a few people I know up, don't you agree? Please show up promptly. I'd rather not have to drag you back home if I can avoid it.
[And drag them back he will, if he has to.]
[[ooc: Repressed abandonment and betrayal issues -> full blown yandere clinginess. Tread carefully.]]
[action]
And when the experiment is over, he is so going to wallow in angst over it.]I have never attacked you. I won't. When I came here, I was on my way to stop Kain from butchering you.
[Honestly, Ceodore can't fathom any situation he'd ever dream of lifting so much as a butter knife at Cecil.]
[action] Going to bed now. Sorry!
They can wallow together yet from completely separate locations, then.]Liar. You'll come with him, with your mother, Cid and Edward, and raise your blade against me. You'll take the side of a man of left us for seventeen years over mine.
[Nevermind the whole possessed thing.]
...But we can stop it from happening, today. I merely need to keep you here with me, and stop you from leaving.
[action] No being sorry! Enjoy sleepies! :D
THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! WHY WOULD WE DO THAT?!
[Sorry, he's still a teenager and prone to angry outbursts. This is one of them.]
And I can't stay here. I need to go back to the clinic.
[action]
[Even though a part of him knows damn well why they did it.]
I'm afraid I cannot allow you to do that. But don't worry! We can bring Selphie here, and Frey too if you wish, and after that you'll never have a reason to leave me again.
[action]
Selphie. Can't. Leave.
[He wouldn't be nearly so testy about this if he hadn't just had this argument with her earlier in the day.]
What she has could kill her and until they release her to step one foot out the door, she's not to be moved.
[action]
[That's the sad thing about this, really. He actually does still care.]
[action]
I've watched enough people die because of me. I am NOT going to risk adding her to that list because I want her home where she belongs!
[action]
[This is almost, almost enough to make him stand down. But the part of him that is screaming for him to keep them close before they betray him is not so easily silenced.]
You do not believe we can help her recover, then? Do you truly have so little faith in your family?
[action]
[Teen attitude, what is this? It's unlike Ceodore to retaliate or retort with words, but he's still stung by the accusations flung at his head.]
I've idolized you for as long as I can remember.
[action]
[He merely doesn't have faith in their faithfulness.]
How sweet. Is that supposed to make me feel better about the murder attempt?
[action]
In everybody but me.
[He glares at his father then Teleports himself back to the clinic.]
[action]
...No matter, now. There is not enough bread for dinner in the house, and Cecil is the only one there to go buy it. An if he happens to walk by the clinic as he shops... Well, that's their problem, not his.]
[action]
[action]
My, Ceodore, so eager to cut me to pieces?
[Action]
Betrayal? Try finding your bff hugging your girl when you come back from a traumatic confrontation with your father.Ceodore holds out his hands.]I'm not armed.
[He's also really fed up with this behavior from his father.]
[Action]
That'd be even more alarming, in his case.]You do not intend to attack me, then? So why are you standing between a girl and her sandwiches?
[Action]
[Action]
[Never mind the fact that he's most of the reason why she's upset.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Guilt trips are always a parent's best weapon.]
[Action]
[Guilt trips would work if someone hadn't been granted a genuine backbone this experiment.]
[Action]
[Yet without the experiment, the guilt trip would not have happened.]
[Action]
[Action]
[...Which it genuinely might, at that.]
