My, it appears quite a few people are feeling unwell these days.

[Not that Cecil himself sounds remotely unwell. In fact, he seems to be surprisingly cheerful today.]

I'm afraid I cannot help everyone with that. However, a small dinner for the whole family should definitely cheer a few people I know up, don't you agree? Please show up promptly. I'd rather not have to drag you back home if I can avoid it.

[And drag them back he will, if he has to.]

[That sets Kain off in a rage, and he only has it in him for one more reply.]

I'll have to defeat you all the faster then.

[He leaps at him, thrusting his spear in a swift upward slash.]

[Cecil raises his shield to block the strike, while starting a stabbing motion. Even with his current state, or perhaps because of it, he knows better than underestimating Kain.]

[Good, Kain wants a true challenge, then he can feel like he's really proved himself. Especially given the remarks Cecil had made when he'd returned- his need to prove the sight change isn't bothering him is heightened more now. He leaps up into the air next, taking into a Jump, flipping and coming straight down with a spinning motion. He's been working on some variants, time to pull those out more now. ~~Hello Sky Rave.~~]

[That particular variant surprises him greatly; how could Kain be able to use what appears to be a band by himself? Would it be possible to do so with other attacks? But he has no time to think much about the details. He's intimately familiar with the sensation of receiving a spear from above by now, and it's not one he wishes to be acquainted with once more today. He quickly steps to the side, finding himself beneath one of the neighboring trees. Hopefully Kain will not try to jump at him through the branches...]

[~~Just his mun deciding to get creative and~~ Kain has been working really hard in the battle dome to add extra to his usual techniques. He hopes it'll pay off now, especially to show that he's the better warrior.]

[The tree in the way poses a good problem but this Kain is insanely driven right now. So he doesn't stop descending, trying to get past it but ending up whacked many times by branches. So he'll be throw a bit off when he comes down at Cecil to attempt stabbing him.]

[Cecil takes a moment to be grateful for solid tree branches that can throw dragoons off course, and another to curse his lack of offensive options at the moment. Kain's spear gives him the advantage of range; thus, attacking him directly is not an option just yet. Until then, he'll simply have to try to tire him out. Which is why Cecil once again finds himself a bush, beneath even more branches.]

[Grrr, Cecil. Kain's next attempt is similarly met with branches in the way, and he stabs them aside impatiently, trying to get a good strike at him...]

[...That one was way, way too close: even as moves, Cecil can a few locks of his hair fall to the ground. Desperate, he quickly glances around... only to move beneath branches once more.

...Except he has a beehive right above his head, this time.]

[A beehive which Kain doesn't notice yet himself. He's too blindly driven on attacking Cecil to notice much else. He stays grounded at first, trying to use the momentum from nearly hitting him to get in closer. A couple attempted jabs, and then he's taking to the air again...]

[He raises his shield to take those jabs; he cannot move yet if he wants his plan to work, after all. He merely waits patiently for Kain jumps again.

But once Kain does and starts gaining some momentum, he teleports a few meters away. No need to give the bees a second target.]

[...and Kain comes soaring down straight into A SUDDEN CLOUD OF ANGRY BEES. And sure, he's well covered in armor, but there are a few places- face, hands- that are exposed enough that this is a sudden problem. Kain makes a few enraged faces as his hands are stung.]

[Cecil starts approaching Kain once more, slowly and with his sword out. he doesn't want to attract the bees' attention just yet, but it'd be cruel ~~and cowardly~~ to just leave Kain there, out for blood or not.]

[Kain is busy trying to wave bees away with his spear and - OW THEY STUNG HIS CHIN.]

[Staying very far away from that spear, thank you very much. He needs to find a way to knock Kain out quick- owowow that was his hand, dammit. Back away once more.]

[Kain is still mostly busy swatting away ANGRY BEES, but eventually he returns to the battle at hand, and stabs at Cecil repeatedly.]

[That is not good at all for our dear paladin. He raises his shield as quickly as he can to block those attacks... Only to start punching at Kain's spear with the shield. Not that it actually does damage. To think that Yang and Ursula make it look so easy...]

[Kain tries to keep going, with a few bees still buzzing around him in anger- apparently he really got on their bad side. He smirks a little despite all the stinging pain he's been getting lately... maybe he's going to have that victory very soon. Yet again. If only he could talk right now, he'd like to be mocking his friend.]

[Of course, that smirk just manages to remind of a certain part of Kain that had been hoping to run him through with his spear, which reminds him of the reason why there were two Kains in the first place, which reminds him that Kain is a betrayer who wants to abandon him, which pisses him off. He finally starts genuinely attacking, with surprising fury.]

[...and Kain himself is very borderline on that darker self, not that he can really stop it with his mind so set on the fighting. All he can think of is winning this battle, overcoming Cecil at all costs. Proving himself stronger. He moves to block Cecil's incoming, smirking all the more when he realizes that Cecil isn't holding anything back. Just what he's always wanted. He stabs at him to counterattack.]

[Cecil only partially manages to dodge that one; he avoids being stabbed, but at the cost of a nasty slash on his sword arm. Not that it stops him. In fact, it makes him even angrier, leading to even more relentless attacks. He's aiming to hurt, by that point.]

[Yes, this is much more like it, and Kain keeps at it, countering his attacks with his own, but ending up taking a couple hits in the process himself. Which only pushes him on further.]

[It's lucky they're both wearing armor, really, because otherwise they might be pretty wounded by now. They're reasonably well-matched, and Cecil realizes that.

Which is why he suddenly uses Teleport, disappearing from view. From which direction will he attack next?]

[If there's one thing Kain hates the most in battle, it's Teleport. Yuber teleports. So there's a lot of viciousness to his random strikes of his spear, as he turns in all directions to try and locate Cecil...]

[Is he stabbing upwards? Because he might want to be stabbing upwards, right now.]
