7th moon [voice/action]

...Has anyone else ever found a particular item in the shop, and thought that it must have been placed there to taunt you? Would the Malnosso even commit such a petty act? At least it should match the pansies...

[With that said, Cecil can be found at any point on the road between the item shop and house 32, bearing... a flower in a small vase?]

[The trick is knowing which side characters are worth your time~]

Well, I have to admit it'S rather easy to tell when said human-looking monsters are attacking you on sight. I suppose complete inaction would make it harder to tell, though being intent on giving grisly demises are generally the active type.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
[...There are ones who are worth my time? :|a]

Oh but of course, if they are attacking the situation requires no thought~ But even so, what if said inactive threats were intent on bringing your demise, but they had the knowledge to go about it a different way. Not brutish and all-out, but rather in a more conniving and strategic manner.

If that were the case would your answer be the same?

[Ursula is awesome. Ceodore becomes awesome. Leonora can be awesome.]

It'd be more of a case by case matter, under those circumstances. Certain conniving manners would be familiar to me, while others would certainly take me by surprise.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
[I shall remember these names. I was thinking of using Harley too, even if she's useless.]

What manners are familiar to you then~? The way you speak makes me believe you are no stranger to such contriving schemes.
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-28 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[How they managed to make Gil Toss useless is beyond me.]

I'm familiar with beings who masquerade themselves as friends or comrades, mostly. Those were the most memorable of all.

[Magically. Harley looks so precious and yet she's so equally useless. ;w; So cruel.]

So those who would use a façade in order to trick you? Quite underhanded. I do not believe my world has anyone who as done such a thing so far~

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-30 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
[She could have made such an awesome Blue Mage, too.]

That's rather surprising. Are there no inhabitants of your world with power over illusions?

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
[She would have such a Quistis vibe if she were a blue mage...]

Well yes, there are those from my world who can create and manipulate illusions with their powers, though never has one masqueraded as another~
paladinlost: (soft)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-31 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah, but did Quistis ever wear an awesome little hat?]

That's quite polite of them. Then again, if they did, could they replicate each other's powers? If not, it'd make identification easy.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-31 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
[...She did not! That hat just places her above all other blue mages. If she were a blue mage. Which she isn't. :|]

There are so many unique beings in my world, it would be difficult to copy another's abilities exactly~ Though with the said, there must be someone out there with the power to replicate another's own powers without flaw.
paladinlost: (happy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-02 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
[And it cannot place her above all Scholars, because the ones in The 4 Heroes of Light were better.]

That'd be a rather frightening power to fight, unless its use was extremely restricted. Especially if the owers could be replicated permanently.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[She can stick to her silly 'Secretary' class. Piercing Sight might have been good if it didn't fail all the time!]

Frightening might not be the first word which comes to mind in regards to such a thing. 'Interesting' would be a much more fitting description~
paladinlost: (soft)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-03 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
[It'd go so nicely with a Black Mage or two...]

Even if your own powers were copied and used to counter yours? That could lead to unpleasant disagreements.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-04 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, good point. A Black Mage with it would be a lot more effective then someone whose only other skill is to throw gil.]

Oh, well if that were the case, the only possible solution would be the application of rules~ Otherwise neither side would come out victorious. If the one who replicated my abilities truly wanted to be me, they would agree to this~
paladinlost: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-04 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Unless they had a way to make Gil Toss elemental.]

How can you be so certain they'd follow your agreement? Someone who can copy multiple powers would be able to overpower nearly anyone, as long as they know how to use their talent properly.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-04 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Scrap Gil Toss. Just add in 'Throw'. Add some elemental items. Done!]

I can't be~ If they were trying to masquerade as myself however, they would do so in order to maintain the facade. And no matter how much power they might muster I will have to best them come rain or shine~ I will not slip down the ladder of power for the sake of some imbecilic copycat.
paladinlost: (cute)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-05 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Like the ones in V and VI! I liked those.]

That'd be a rather unpleasant prospect. At least you can hope that they'll have no choice but to follow your rules.
Edited 2011-09-05 05:38 (UTC)

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-05 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[The very same. They should have implemented 'Throw' and all that in FFIV, but eh~]

Should they decline the application of rules it would surely thwart their guise. Then it would come down to besting them and forcing them to revert to whatever true form they possess~
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-05 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Edge has it?]

Hopefully you'll not have to go that far. After all, someone who can use your powers might be able to know their weakness, too, though I suppose you'd also have that advantage.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-06 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
[...I-I did not just forget Edge. Cough. Uhm. Awkward... /walks away]

I already possess the advantage of possessing no weaknesses~ Of course that would only serve to make things more exciting. My, fighting oneself sounds quite thrilling the more I consider it.

[It's all those new ninjas; they distract from his presence. *nods wisely*]

...I have a feeling you'd truly enjoy yourself in the Battle Dome. You could easily battle a thousand copies of you there.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-07 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yes. That must be it.]

Would that really be possible? I am aware the Battle Dome was mentioned in passing earlier, though I was not aware I could fight myself there~
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-08 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Too many ninjas spoil the party?]

Of course. You can fight practically anything there, as long as you can enter it into the machine. As you should know yourself relatively well, creating a double to fight would be simple.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
[No. Not enough ninjas. FFIV The Later Years, everyone is a ninja. Edge is a super ninja.]

I merely have to input myself into a machine? And how exactly would one go about doing such a thing? Do explain things further~
paladinlost: (happy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-09-08 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[A super ninja who should be able to steal the damn tails, instead of waiting for a drop.]

I fear I could not explain the process in depth. I merely fiddle with the options and press buttons until it works as I wish.
