18th moon [voice]
Rosa Farrell has left Luceti.
[It comes abruptly, harshly, flatly. Cecil does not sound in terrible pain as he did the last time he had to make such an announcement. In fact, he sounds very much as though he's forgotten how to inflect.]
...She's left roses and notes for everyone she's met here. Please come pick them up when you have the time.
[That's all he has the energy to say.]
[Voice]
She feels three different kinds of sadness at Cecil's announcement. One is for the friend she had been growing closer to. One is left over from when she had thought Rosa was like a daughter to her.
And one...]
...Cecil?
[...is for Rosa's family and dear friends left behind.]
[Voice]
[Speaking about gifts rather than feelings is easier, to some degreee.]
[Voice]
She has?
[But no, that's not even slightly important now. She needs to keep her concentration.]
Can I come see you now?
[Voice]
[A part of him would rather say please, but this is not the time to be selfish.]
[Voice]
[She's assuming he's at home--if he isn't, he probably should say so before she closes the journal all the way.]
[Voice]
[He is, luckily. He doesn't really feel like going out right now.]
[Action]
She knocks on the door and steps back to wait. ...Maybe she should be ready to heal him, just in case.]
[Action]
Hello, Grune.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
Eventually, though, Grune will pull back enough to ask:] Cecil, would you like to go for a little walk?
[Action]
[But he doesn't sound so sure of that.]
[Action]
[She wants to make him feel better, not worse.]
[Action]
[He sounds slightly more sure of that, at least.]
[Action]
[She reaches for his hand.]
[Action]
You might have to choose the flavor, however.
[Action]
[She gives his hand a squeeze, then tugs him inside.]
[Action]
[He follows, slowly.]
[Action]
Then she starts looking for the tea. She remembers a little from last month when she knew the house inside out, but it will still take her a few tries.]
[Action]
The higher left cupboard. All the tea-related products should be there.
[Action]
[She spends a little while picking out something nice, then goes to put the kettle on.]
[Action]
[Action]
She holds it out to him, her expression sad.] Here. This will make you feel better.
[Action]
[He's not smiling, not just yet. But he certainly looks grateful as he takes it.]
[Action]
[That's an improvement, at least. She'll take that as a good sign.
For just a moment, she hesitates. Then, she leans forward to press a kiss to his forehead. Most of the reason behind the action is simply because he's a good friend and she's worried about him. But...there's a small part of her that will never quite stop seeing him as someone to look after--as her child.
She looks slightly surprised at herself afterwards. Then she turns to pour her own mug of tea.]
