Did... did we fail? Did that being somehow kill us all?

I cannot remember him attacking... Perhaps I hit my head? But would the afterlife not heal such wounds? [The sound of rustling hair.] No blood, and no swelling. Perhaps the wound can be healed, but the amnesia cannot? ...I suppose it matters not, in the end.

[His feet barely make any noise on the ground, but his body is obviously moving, even from such a close range.]

I should be thankful I appear to be the only one present at least. Perhaps Ceodore and the others have survived... As long as this crisis is averted, my death is an acceptable price to pay. But still, I’d hoped...

Magic cooking box? The only thing that machine wished to cook was human flesh. It was an advanced war automaton, with extremely powerful attacks.

It's some Thunder-magic creature. Rydia had better luck with it than we did, but it was quite feral and breathed fire. It had to be put down.

Why would a Thunder-elemental creature breathe fire?

[Because that's obviously the strangest part of the whole thing.]

I'm not sure. Tellah thought it to be some golem-mimic hybrid. There was something within it he pulled out once it was slain.

Uh, well when I got here, I was on the way home with Cid, Edward and that guy in the hood to rescue mother from Kain. They said everything worked out and that they'd just gotten to the moon and that you were sick with something.

...All those events took place days, perhaps even weeks ago. We've been exploring that moon for goodness knows how long.

[He stays very far away from the 'sick' part of it. Those are moments he'd really rather not remember.]

...He did not seem particularly open about his identity when I saw him, but I'd not realized he was being so dramatic about it. He spent too much time on that mountain.

Considering what you said last happened to you, you had no reason to know any better. But accusing a man of an act seventeen years before he supposedly committed it is rather unfair, Ceodore. For all you knew, he could have been under duress at the time.

It's fine. You were brought here during a very stressful moment; overreacting was a possible side effect. Did you apologize to him?

He hit you for apologizing? [He frowns a little.] That should have been a reason not to hit you, as I doubt you did so without meaning it.

He... doesn't like me. I brought it on myself though. I will find some way to make amends.

He does not like you? That's strange. He seems quite attached to you, back home. ...But if you are the only one to make amends, it'll never be enough. Both of you need to take part in it.
