1st moon [accidental video]
Did... did we fail? Did that being somehow kill us all?
[The video post must accidental, because it shows a naked, pale male chest. It looks like someone is holding his journal against himself in a desperate attempt to ward off the cold.]
I cannot remember him attacking... Perhaps I hit my head? But would the afterlife not heal such wounds? [The sound of rustling hair.] No blood, and no swelling. Perhaps the wound can be healed, but the amnesia cannot? ...I suppose it matters not, in the end.
[His feet barely make any noise on the ground, but his body is obviously moving, even from such a close range.]
I should be thankful I appear to be the only one present at least. Perhaps Ceodore and the others have survived... As long as this crisis is averted, my death is an acceptable price to pay. But still, I’d hoped...
[But whatever he’d hoped, he does not say.]
...I should try to find my sword and shield. This afterlife might not be as pleasant as it appears to be.

[For some time now, Cecil had been craving fresh fruits and vegetables. But he's so hungry, those cookies look rather tempting. He'll be glancing at them every so often.]
[action]
[She's about to elaborate, but sees him eyeing the cookies and smiles.]
Get something to eat, Cecil. That's why we're here. You can listen to me and eat at the same time, right? Or I hope so, since there's...more.
[She gestures to Ceodore to share what he has.]
[action]
Mention of more makes him glance over to Rydia and he blanches. Please say this is about the relationships in the house and not... some of the experiments. Those are best left forgotten. But be kind and offer the man some earplugs.]
Want me to run out to the bakery?
[action]
[Because his Cure spells really suck, and he knows it. And his aptitude for black magic is somewhere in the negatives.
The moment that bag is held out, he grabs a few and starts nibbling on one. To his hungry senses, the food is positively heavenly.]
Thank you, Ceodore. I should manage to do both, unless you ask any questions that require a full speech as an answer.
[action]
[She then looks to Ceodore and shrugs.]
That's up to you. You know what I'm going to say next....
[The slight blush should give it away to the derp. Though you might want to tell your father what you've been up to also, kid.]
[action]
I don't mind. I better go find Selphie anyway.
[Since he'd much rather break that bomb with her than without her. Selph throws a mean punch when irate. Before Ceodore retreats, he reaches back into the cabinet and pulls out a bag of chips to toss to his father.]
Those are great.
[action]
[Don't worry, Ceodore, that subtle emphasis on 'properly' is probably your imagination acting up. Or not.
He takes the bag and stares at it somewhat bemusedly.]
Thank you. I'll try them soon enough.
[action]
...Selphie told you, then?
[action]
Lovely girl. We should get along perfectly well, unless her smile hides a terrible, well-hidden side.
[He opens the bag and tries out a few of the chips. Not as good as the cookies, but they'll do.]
[action]
No, not at all. What you see is what you get, with her.
[That's probably why Rydia gets along so well with Selphie in the first place. She prefers straightforward people. Then she fidgets, wondering how to explain....]
There's something I ought to elaborate on, as well. Kain and I....
[action]
[Cecil is somewhat surprised by the fidgetting. What sort of terrible news could mave Rydia feel so nervous?]
Yes? Is there a problem woth the two of you? Did something happen?
[action]
[action]
Together, as in together? Truly? That's... I never expected...
[He'd never expected many things, really. Considering the events back home... But this was not home, after all.]
[action]
...I know. We weren't exactly close at home. But this place and everything that happened in it brought us closer. I just thought you should know....
[You know, for when he realizes that Kain and Rydia are sharing a room. At least it won't be a huge shock when that happens...maybe?]
[action]
...Do you believe you'll remember that, when you return home? Is there a way to keep those memories?
[Changing the future could have terrible consequences, but entering a relationship with the certainty that you'd forget all about it... He'd not wish that on anyone, especially not two of his friends.]
[action]
I'll find a way, somehow. They mean more to me than anything. The Malnosso won't take them from me and I'll make sure that's the case, no matter what I have to do.
[action]
I'll help you find a way. If the two of you make each other happy, no one should have the right to take that happiness from you.
[action]
Thank you, Cecil....
[action]
Do not worry. If we all work together, nothing is beyond us. We'll ask those Malnosso about our memories, and we'll make them talk.
Re: [action]
Somehow, we'll get the upper hand. They won't keep us imprisoned and deprived of answers forever.

There's a guide, as well as some more sensitive information that you'll need to keep off the journals. The Malnosso probably aren't aware that we know as much as we do, so it's best to keep them in the dark as much as we can....
[She reaches through her journal, flipping through it.]
I help run the Welcome Center, so I have to pass on this kind of information all the time. The guide helps fill in a lot of blanks, but I don't mind elaborating on what I know.
