No good, they don't have... How does this even work? I'll stay away from it for now...

I apologize for bothering everyone, but could anyone recommend objects that are helpful to a household? Specifically, objects that are necessary for a new arrival or that can keep the house organized and clean. I'm not familiar with most of the products I find here, and I'd rather not bring anything that is useless or dangerous home. I'd be most thankful for your help.

Of course... those are for the lights. [Ever since that first time last year when he nearly tried to... turn them off with water, he's been wary of doing the right thing with those.] Much of it is very strange. After about a year of such technology, I still only know the very basics.

That's still more than I know. Everything might be useful, but it's also quite confusing.

I know... It does take a while to get used to.

I'll simply have to practice until I can manipulate all those strange objects easily, then.

Their technology also has adverse reactions to water, so don't ever try to douse them. Think of it as being lightning-elemental.

What exactly would you consider an adverse reaction?

...Damage that's like a Thundaga, only worse. An incredibly stupid death.

That's right. We've no choice but to adjust.

Those who come from worlds with such technology have the advantage, them. Has anyone tried to completely reject it?

Not that I know of, offhand, but... it's difficult to avoid it. I suppose unless you left the village entirely.

Doing so sounds inconvenient, unless the very thought of machines makes you sick.

Well... the mountains are worth staying at on occasion.

Perhaps on occasion, but staying there permanently would be impratical and hurt people's feelings.

That's reassuring. She'd know when to bring you back, at least. And she can do so extremely quickly.
