...Yet the land itself seems so peaceful...

Deceptively peaceful. Although it wouldn't be such a bad place were it not for the Malnosso and all they do.

But how much is their doing, how much is caused by that Third Party, and how much comes from other sources?

A good question. There seems to be some combination of all of those sources.

And none of them are willing to share the details, of course.

The Malnosso never have. The Third Party less so, since they're even more our enemies.

While possible other sources cannot or will not speak to us.

It's irritating, but that's the situation we're stuck with. Until we find some chance to change that.

...Has the community managed to change anything, since your arrival?

Well, they've created those New Feather stations, and people like Rydia have done much for the Welcome Center, informing newcomers of what to expect...

The earliest arrivals must have had little comfort, without either of those.

Or those who are returned from experiments.

They seem to have little comfort, even now.

All too true, unfortunately.

Has anyone lived here for years without a single kidnapping?

If they have, I've not heard of it. Most people are taken at least once in a while...

I'd certainly not mind waiting a few months or years, truly.

Of course, I would rather be home before months or years have gone by, but I suspect the chances of that are rather low.

Considering how Rydia and I have fared... unlikely. Even Golbez has been here longer than we have.

Yet there are those who arrived when I did but have already left, somehow.

I know... I don't entirely understand how they decide upon when they send people back.

No one has found a pattern?

The pattern really does appear to be... No pattern whatsoever. At times, there can be waves of people from the same world... but... not in any predictable way.

Are certain people brought back more often than others?
