There are a few, but they live on the moon, instead of the planet itself.

Yes, I suppose so since we don't have those on the moon in the world I'm from.

The monsters are the usual species: dragons, malboros, automatons, goblins... As for the being, I'm not certain; I was brought here right as we were meeting.

Plants with tentacles and monsters made of metal, all of them quite dangerous and powerful.

...Because we were hoping to stop it from destroying our world.

It must have been for some time, considering how well-informed it was.

It knew what our world was like, where to find the objects it wanted, how to bypass their protections... Its attack must have been planned.

Never. We were certainly not expecting to find anything that powerful when we looked.

Not personally, but through agents and manipulation.

Telepathy, perhaps, or some sort of hidden communication device. They never seemed to contact everyone, yet they always knew how far their plan had advanced.
