18th moon [voice]

Rosa Farrell has left Luceti.

[It comes abruptly, harshly, flatly. Cecil does not sound in terrible pain as he did the last time he had to make such an announcement. In fact, he sounds very much as though he's forgotten how to inflect.]

...She's left roses and notes for everyone she's met here. Please come pick them up when you have the time.

[That's all he has the energy to say.]

Family businesses exist in my world, as well. But there are so many people that some just... fall through the cracks.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-11 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
...There must be a lot of people in your world, for so many to be forgotten.
anxiousgrace: (faint smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-11 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. Almost 7 billion people. My country alone has over 30 million.
paladinlost: (dotdotdot)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-14 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
...My whole world's population could fit a few times in your country.
anxiousgrace: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-15 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Especially considering the low population density. 3.3 people per square kilometer, or 9.27 per square mile. [Being a teacher has its benefits.]
paladinlost: (surprised)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-15 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
...How can a single country have so much space in it?
anxiousgrace: (tense smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-18 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know. It's just big. And huge sections are just... empty. Frozen tundras and the like. [CANADA.]
paladinlost: (curious)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-20 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
...As in permanently frozen? How can that be possible?

[Good ol' melting Canada.]
anxiousgrace: (faint smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-22 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
The earth gets frozen deep enough that the sun can't melt it. It's called permafrost. But that's really far north, and I'm from the south, so I don't know much.
paladinlost: (err)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-22 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
That would make any sort of agriculture impossible. No wonder so many must live in cities.
anxiousgrace: (tense smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-22 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
So much of the land is fertile, though... There are huge farms in places. The west is well known for them.
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-26 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
They must be lovely to behold, if their size fits such a large country.
anxiousgrace: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-26 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
They can be, especially the wheat fields. The lines of golden plants, waving in the wind before the harvest, is something to behold.
paladinlost: (blow)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-29 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
...That sounds a lot like home, once you leave the town.
anxiousgrace: (Whut?)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-29 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
So, your homeland has a lot of farms? [Sounds like an agrarian society, but no way to be sure yet.]
paladinlost: (faraway)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-07-31 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Near the town, at least. There are forests and a desert beyond that.
anxiousgrace: (tense smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-07-31 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's certainly... diverse. You must see a lot of interesting wildlife.
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-08-03 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Too much of it, almost. There are monster attacks, every so often.
anxiousgrace: (Whut?)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-08-03 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Monsters? Like the ones that showed up during that shift?
paladinlost: (flowy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-08-06 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly like those. It reminded me very much of home, truly.
anxiousgrace: (tense smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-08-06 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
There's nothing like that in my world. I hope you enjoyed that shift...? [Though it probably made him homesick.]
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-08-08 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
I did. I'd never had such powerful healing magic before.
anxiousgrace: (faint smile)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-08-08 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad. The magic was certainly interesting. Scary, sometimes... but interesting.
paladinlost: (blow)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2012-08-11 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Were there any spells you particularly liked?
anxiousgrace: (Default)

[personal profile] anxiousgrace 2012-08-12 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
I liked being able to heal others, and make them stronger and faster. To be able to help. What about you? You were a mage, right?
