7th moon [voice/action]

...Has anyone else ever found a particular item in the shop, and thought that it must have been placed there to taunt you? Would the Malnosso even commit such a petty act? At least it should match the pansies...

[With that said, Cecil can be found at any point on the road between the item shop and house 32, bearing... a flower in a small vase?]

A sadistic sense of humour is better than none~

[Were she aware of the flower's origins and what not sooner, she might have found it amusing herself.

That would be awfully uncomfortable. Even so, he can't sleep forever!]

Whilst bureaucracy might be found in most places it does not necessarily mean all will work out. Were I in charge of the afterlife I would have fired that Yama's subordinate long ago for slacking off.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-07 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'd much prefer it if their sense of humor was normal. Or even simply centered on bad puns.

[Unless Rydia casts Sleep on him.]

I suppose there'd be no way for you to rise up the ranks and be in charge unless you died first, in these circumstances.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-07 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
'Normal'? How boring! I think I would much rather prefer this apparent sadistic sense of humour they have now. Though I have yet to experience any ploys and plots of the Malnosso myself yet.

[She'll just have to hit him and wake him up with a frying pa- ...jahgkjsgh!!]

I would not want to reign over the Higan anyway. If I already surpass the power of a Yama, I would see no need in becoming one myself.

If you are particularly lucky, it'll be something as simple as being transformed into a flower for a week. But quite a few of their experiments are much less kind.

[Exactly. It's the unending loop from hell.]

Not even simply to have the chance to fire that subordinate? If their work ethics cause trouble...

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-08 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
That doesn't sound bad at all, being a flower. Anything other than that I will just have to take in my stride, assuming anything of the sort happens to me of course.

[...Fine, Sporky Paladin. You have won. Enjoy your exp and drops.]

I could do a lot better than merely firing her if I wanted to as I am now, but why end things early? The Yama seems to keep her around only to scold her anyway.

[She's at an impasse with things back home really. Sure that subordinate can't work for peanuts, but it's her incompetence that keeps things interesting, to be blunt... But anyway.]

This is an awful tangent we have gone off at. Talking about my world when you were explaining your own originally. [Gesturing to the flower, which is honestly much more interesting than his world to her, but she's being polite. Also, a quick curtsy to serve as an introduction.] Yuuka Kazami.

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-09 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
However, a flower would be at the mercy of the elements, or that of the other villagers. Unless your world has plants that can defend themselves?

[...Echo Herbs, of course.]

Ah, but tangents can become the most interesting discussions, as long as they catch everyone's interest. Still, I'm forgetting my manners. My name is Cecil. Cecil Harvey.

[He bows elegantly.]

It's a pleasure to meet you.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-09 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
The plants of my world cannot defend themselves, at least without my help they can't. But should any insolent villager do anything to me whilst in such a state, I shall have to repay whatever is done to me tenfold.

[Alternatively, gysahl greens!]

I guess so. I must have found some aspect of this conversation appealing to have talked for so long. [Again. That flower.] It has certainly been an 'experience' meeting you Cecil.

Additionally, would I be correct in saying you are human~? [Because he looks pretty human. And she ragged on humans before and got little to no reaction.]
paladinlost: (soft)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-10 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have to tell my housemates to be very careful around flowers during experiments, then. Saving a few minutes by walking through a flower field would not be worth such reprisal.

[Those have been dummied out, actually]

I find that most meetings are interesting experiences, and so are conversations. But yes, I am indeed mostly human. Why do you ask?

['Mostly' would be the important part, of course.]

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-10 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
However if you housemates were to walk through a flower field and they did end up stepping on me I would then have some entertainment to look forward to once I am a youkai again.

[Oh wait seriously...? Pfft. Totally replaying IV now to check.]

To put it lightly, I am not particularly fond of humans. It is a shame to know you are mostly related to such weak beings. Would you care to elaborate more on how you human you actually are~?
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-11 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
They already find themselves in more than enough trouble every month without adding to it.

[No Fat Chocobo in the sequel; thus, no Gysahl Greens.]

I was born from a human, and raised by humans my whole life. But those from my world are far from weak, after all the battle they've had to fight.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-11 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps you should keep a better eye on your housemates then.

[Oh, right, mun never played the After Years. Was this close to buying the full game, sequel and all for psp though!]

I see, so whilst you are human born and bred, you say you are not weak? [Titter. A human that isn't weak.] Well then, are you purely human, or do you possess some sort of magic or talent that sets you away from the rest of the rabble~?
paladinlost: (flowy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-14 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I try. Believe me, I do nothing but try.

[The Complete Collection is so lovely~ It makes canon reviewing so much simpler, too.]

Possessing magic would mean very little about my humanity; many people do, in my world. ...But I said that I was born from a human and raised by humans, not that I was purely human myself.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-14 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[I actually just bought The Complete Collection two days ago! I saw it by chance at a really low price so I picked it up.]

So magic is a regular occurence in your world then. Regardless, I'm not sure I follow what you are telling me. If you are born from a human, surely you too are human~ Unless of course one of your guardians was not a human. But if that's the case then you neglected to mention such a thing sooner.
paladinlost: (peaceful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-17 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Isn't it wonderful?]

People have two parents, do they not? One can easily be born from a human yet have other blood in their veins, though it is nearly unheard of in my world.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-17 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
[It's beautiful. I'm fighting Scarmiglione. Right now. Eee~]

Yes yes, I understand already. One of your parents wasn't a human. Perhaps if you just came out and said 'whose' or 'whats' blood you have within you, it would make this conversation run a lot smoother~

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-18 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[I started with the Interlude, then TAY; I'll do the original later~]

Does your world have Lunarians? Or people who live on a moon, whatever they might be called?

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-19 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah, I'm a sucker for doing things in order I guess.]

As a matter of fact, yes. Our world has a number of Lunarians, as well as moon rabbits. Whilst our world itself is only home to a few Lunarians, there is an entire colony positioned on the moon itself~ [...] I hear they are quite technologically advanced.
paladinlost: (giggling)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-20 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[I wanted the new shinies. And then I needed the canon review.]

...You have both Lunarians and something resembling Hummingways? That's... It's the first time I hear anyone mention that they know about them. Do they have contact with others, in your world?

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-20 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[Fff I never thought about the delicious shinies. And I'm curious about the interlude too... Hmm~]

Indeed, whilst we too have Lunarians I am not familiar with Hummingways. Though I imagine the reason you brought them up is because they sound similar to moon rabbits~? And yes, I believe the few Lunarians who live in our world and not on the moon have regular contact with others, both human and youkai~
paladinlost: (^_^)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-20 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[It... has its faults, but it's enjoyable enough.]

They indeed look very much like rabbits, though few rabbits wear clothing and manage stores. It's good to know that the people of both moon and earth can interact together, if only in other worlds.

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[...Faults? What sort of faults? ...It's just a little extra tacked on storyline that doesn't really fit in, isn't it?]

I'm not sure about running stores, but the rabbits I have crossed paths with happened to be wearing clothes. [...] Though just because both interact and have contact with one another, it does not mean they have always got on well. At one point, these Lunarians replaced the real moon with a fake replica that would never become full~
paladinlost: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-21 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
[13 hours less than advertised! Age retcons! Sealed Cave with Cecil, Cid, Palom and Porom, Demon Wall included!]

Fake moons? That happens all too often in my world, though perhaps not under the same circumstances. But why were they so against full moons? Would it affect anything in particular, besides monster behavior?

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
[hgksjdghv-- So like I said, an extra bit of tacked on VERY SHORT story. Wonderful.]

They weren't against the full moon per se. It was to ensure any Lunarians would not come looking for them during the full moon~ And other than concealing themselves from the Lunarians, there was little else to it. The fake moon effected the coming of the Harvest Festival however, and the full moon turns any human who looks upon it insane~
paladinlost: (flowy)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2011-08-21 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[There's a developper's room, at least?]

Causing such trouble merely to hide from others... Was there no easier way? It must have taken much work to undo what they did...

[identity profile] floralphantasm.livejournal.com 2011-08-21 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Is there anything to do there past talking to the 'developers' though?]

If there was an easier method, they did not consider it~ I believe the moon's princess Kaguya drank the Hourai Elixer, thus becoming immortal. She was exiled from the moon and took residence on Earth. To avoid being found however she hid the real moon after the Lunarians went looking for one of their emissarys who fled to Earth~
